Have you had trouble trying to lose weight?
So did I and blamed myself.
Then I figured out it was NOT entirely my fault even after trying real hard.
What I found was some good news that should make you feel a little bit better. It’s not your fault either and you CAN lose weight. I know I did!
Since I’m not as overweight anymore, I thought I would have some fun and assemble what I discovered on this web site.
Perhaps some of this information will help you as it did me.
I’m not saying that putting on a few — or possibly a few too many — extra pounds is something totally out of our control.
The truth is, there are some forces that are, in fact, CONTROLLING US.
For example there’s greedy corporations out there that have no other purpose but to make sure we buy their cardboard food and other junk.
We have fad diets and crash diets which are often very dangerous even to try.
There’s exercise equipment for fat loss for a fat wallet.
Then there are all those products which promise to make weight loss easier, quicker, cheaper, more reliable, or less painful. There’s books, CDs, cremes, lotions, pills, rings and earrings, body wraps, body belts and other stuff, not to mention fitness centers, personal coaches, weight loss groups, and a zillion food products and supplements.
And when none of that works we’re told to shed weight with drugs and supplements that decrease appetite, block fat absorption, or reduce stomach volume.
Finally, surgery may be prescribed in more severe cases. Bariatric surgery artificially reduces the size of the stomach, limiting the intake of food energy.
WOW
Only after I identified some of the half-truths and misrepresentations about weight loss, did I begin to lose weight and keep it off.
Today, Friday, September 12, 2008 is the first day of this project and this is my first entry.
